We are seeking a technically adept and strategically minded Senior Manager of Software Development to lead and support a high-performing engineering team. This role is ideal for a seasoned leader with a strong background in system-level development and a deep understanding of agile delivery processes. You will play a critical role in aligning engineering output with product vision while fostering a culture of technical excellence and autonomy.

As a Senior Manager, you’ll provide direction, remove roadblocks, and mentor a team of experienced developers working with languages such as C, Rust, and Go.

Tasks

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software developers working on system-level and performance-critical software components.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve agile workflows and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira) to align engineering efforts with product goals while ensuring visibility and delivery focus.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management to refine priorities, manage scope, and translate business objectives into actionable engineering work.
• Oversee technical execution across key areas such as OS-level development, high-performance computing, and low-level systems work.
• Support and champion best practices in debugging, profiling, and performance tuning while avoiding top-down micromanagement.
• Cultivate a high-trust, feedback-driven culture where individual contributors can grow and thrive.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading high-performing software development teams in fast-paced, agile environments.
• Technical foundation with working knowledge of system-level programming languages such as C, Rust, and Go.
• Solid understanding of operating system internals, device drivers, and performance optimization techniques.
• Deep expertise in agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery across multiple teams.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders—bridging the gap between technical detail and strategic goals.
• Experience managing or supporting self-organizing, autonomous teams with a focus on craftsmanship and responsibility.
