Role Description:

This is a part-time hybrid position for a 3D Software Engineer (m/f/d) based in Düsseldorf or Aachen, with flexible working hours and the option to work from home. The 3D Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining state-of-the-art algorithms for 3D data processing. Join our innovative team to research state-of-the-art reconstruction techniques for point clouds, CAD data, and 2D images while pursuing your engineering or science degree.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and optimize algorithms to process 3D data from various input sources such as point clouds, CAD data or 2D images
• Research and analyze SOTA algorithms for 3D data reconstruction
• Point cloud processing, computer vision, and volumetric modeling through innovative artificial intelligence approaches

Qualifications:

• Expertise in Python
• Fundamental understanding of mathematical principles in linear algebra, geometry, and numerical optimization
• Enjoy working in a young, motivated team and contributing actively
• Curiosity about new topics and tools with a willingness to learn
• Enrolled in a technical or scientific study program

Nice-to-Have:

• Coding experience with 3D data
• Coding skills in other languages such as C++ or Rust
