Finance FP&A Senior Manager (m/f/d)

As soon as possible | Location: Darmstadt

Full-time | Fixed-term for 1 year (maternity cover)

THE ROLE & YOUR SCOPE

The Senior FP&A Manager owns the financial planning and forecasting process for Wella DACH. Key deliverable is to analyze, understand and communicate the current business development.

An important part of the role is the multifunctional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning, the local lead team and central FP&A-team. The collected information is to be translated into a P&L forecast, root causes behind changes are to be captured and potential gaps vs financial targets should be identified.

A further relevant part of the role is to upload the forecast into the company’s forecast system (EPM). Hereby, the Senior FP&A manager is technically supported by another team member. Further, this role is responsible for the coordination of the month end close process from a commercial finance point of view and ensure all management reporting relevant aspects are captured.

YOUR TASKS

  • Translate Sales Channel Forecast, Initiative Financials, Demand Forecast and budget updates into a P&L Forecast for Wella DACH
  • Assess Risks and Opportunities vs Forecast and identify gap vs financial targets
  • Up-loading of the Forecast into a consolidation system (EPM)
  • Communication of the Forecast towards the DACH lead team, global FP&A teams
  • Coordination of month end close activities in collaboration with the accounting team to ensure the management reporting relevant aspects are considered.
  • Continued improvement and development of forecasting systems and processes

YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in Economics and/or Finance
  • At least 2 years of experience in FP&A or related area
  • Very good English skills, good German skills
  • Very good skills in Excel, MS Office; ideally experience with EPM/Oracle
  • Analytical skills and business understanding
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to bring complex messages briefly and to the point.
  • Flexibility, as part of the job is to ad hoc analysis to support decision making
