[Mission of the Role]
- We are seeking a highly experienced Senior VSLAM Engineer with a strong background in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have more than 8 years of experience and deep expertise in VSLAM, functional safety (ISO 26262), and ASPICE. This role will be responsible for developing and optimizing visual simultaneous localization and mapping (VSLAM) solutions for automotive applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge localization technologies into autonomous and ADAS systems.
[Key Responsibilities]
- Develop, implement, and optimize VSLAM algorithms for real-time vehicle localization and mapping.
- Ensure ASPICE compliance in the development of perception and localization software.
- Work on functional safety (ISO 26262) requirements and contribute to safety-critical system design.
- Integrate sensor fusion techniques, including camera, LiDAR, IMU, and GPS, to enhance localization accuracy.
- Optimize SLAM performance for real-time and embedded systems with a focus on computational efficiency.
- Work closely with software, perception, and hardware teams to ensure seamless VSLAM integration.
- Conduct validation and testing of VSLAM algorithms in simulated and real-world environments.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in VSLAM, machine learning, and AI-based perception technologies.
[Basic Qualifications]
- 8+ years of experience in computer vision, SLAM, or localization, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong expertise in VSLAM algorithms such as feature-based and direct SLAM methods.
- Experience with functional safety (ISO 26262) and ASPICE processes.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python for algorithm development and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with OpenCV, Ceres-Solver, GTSAM, G2O or related frameworks.
- Knowledge of sensor fusion techniques and experience working with automotive sensors (camera, LiDAR, IMU, GPS).
- Experience in real-time embedded systems and hardware acceleration (DSP, NEON, ARM) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
[Preferred Qualifications]
- PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in deep learning-based localization and perception.
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR and embedded software development.
- Experience with CNN-based deep learning for computer vision and perception tasks.
- Previous work on autonomous driving or ADAS projects.
