Job Description:
Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a A400M Missile Warner Technical Responsible (d/f/m) to address current and future challenges in defining, developing, and integrating the Dual IR Missile Warner System for the A400M in Manching.
The A400M "Atlas" is the most advanced, proven, and certified airlifter, combining state-of-the-art technologies to meet armed forces' needs. It can carry strategic loads, deliver into tactical locations on small, unprepared airstrips, and serve as a frontline tanker. This aircraft can replace three separate assets.

As Missile Warner Technical Responsible, you will act as both a technical project manager for the Dual IR Missile Warner and an Electronic Warfare (EW) systems engineer. This role is also available with reduced hours and scope.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities
Technical Project Management:
- Capture customer requirements, develop solutions, and produce technical specifications
- Plan engineering activities and define project management artifacts such as PBS and WBS
- Create work package descriptions and estimate resources
- Plan and coordinate technical reviews and develop engineering plans
- Monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and lead change management
- Manage Tier-3 suppliers and plan engineering resources
- Oversee certification and qualification of EW solutions
- Implement agile and lean engineering practices
Systems Engineering:
- Analyze and define requirements, including requirements engineering in DOORS
- Develop system architecture and perform trade-off analyses
- Assess impact of design changes over the product lifecycle
- Manage interfaces and define acceptance criteria
- Identify stakeholders and conduct technical milestone reviews
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Engineering degree in telecommunications, electronics, or equivalent
- Extensive experience in systems engineering
- Experience with electronic warfare systems and equipment development
- Knowledge of neuronal networks is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and customer focus
- Ability to work under pressure
- Preferably, experience with the A400M
- Knowledge of DO-178, DO-254, and DO-160 standards
- Experience with DPA-ABDs processes is preferred
- Negotiation-level English; German is a plus
