The Solutions Architect Job Overview :
The Solutions Architect (SA) is a technical leadership role supporting a Sales region. Architects are typically assigned a technology area such as Cloud, DevOps, Security, or Service Provider. This role primarily focuses on security. The ideal candidate has a solid application security background with an understanding of how cloud and microservices-based architectures influence security deployments.
The SA’s primary function is to work collaboratively with Sales teams to identify appropriate F5 solutions that address customers’ business needs. They provide technical expertise and business understanding across specific or multiple industries. They champion our customers’ requirements and ensure they are understood across teams within F5, such as Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Product Development.
The SA also shares knowledge and educates the solution engineering team internally and externally via whitepapers, trainings, demos, blogs, tech-tips, and presentations.
To be effective, an SA needs to blend strong business acumen with excellent technical skills and knowledge of both F5 products and the broader ecosystem. They should be recognized as an authority in their field and act as a trusted advisor to our customers.
