Overview

Global Head of R&D Engineering is responsible for leading and managing the research and development team for fitness products, formulating R&D strategies, and driving the successful launch of innovative products. This role requires a deep understanding of the Fitness & Sports industry, strong technical expertise, and excellent leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning

  Develop long-term and short-term product R&D strategies in line with the company\'s business goals.

• Team Leadership

  Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing R&D team, including engineers, designers, and technicians. Set clear goals and expectations for the team, and provide regular performance evaluations and feedback.

• Product Development

  Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept generation to commercialization. Ensure that products meet or exceed quality, performance, and cost targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless product launch and integration.

• Technical Expertise

  Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry best practices, and apply this knowledge to drive product innovation. Provide technical guidance and support to the R&D team, and solve complex technical problems.

• Project Management

  Manage multiple R&D projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Experience in product R&D in a leadership position.
• In-depth knowledge of the Fitness & Sports industry, including market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
• Technical background, with in-depth knowledge of product design, development, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel for business purposes.
