Responsibilities

• You are the focal point for IT operations at cylib: you determine what our IT infrastructure looks like today and tomorrow—from network to cloud, from security to asset management.
• You have the freedom to implement things hands-on yourself, distribute them in a team or manage service providers — you decide what makes sense.
• You bring structure and scalability to a young scale-up: many things are still greenfield, you can set standards, establish processes and build pragmatic solutions that really work.
• You are not a lone fighter, but develop the team professionally and are the point of contact for everyone who relies on you.
• You are the face of IT Ops — both internally and externally. Whether onboarding new colleagues, selecting and managing service providers or setting up new locations: you leave your own fingerprint.
• You take on the technical leadership of the IT Operations team, promote the further development of your colleagues and are the central point of contact for all departments and management.

Your profile

• You have several years of experience as an IT administrator, IT architect or in a comparable role — you know Microsoft 365, networks, servers, monitoring and automation not only from theory.
• You have already planned, managed and successfully implemented IT projects independently — ideally in dynamic, growing companies.
• You set standards, make technical decisions and can argue them — even when there is a headwind.
• You are hands-on, but also able to prioritise and delegate tasks and manage service providers.
• You enjoy sharing knowledge and developing colleagues professionally — initial experience in mentoring or providing technical guidance to colleagues is a plus.
• You are fluent in written and spoken German and English.
• You are willing to work regularly in our offices in Aachen and Dormagen and thus make our cooperation successful.

About Us

cylib is a research-based German scaleup for holistic battery recycling — starting from discharging to recovery of all components of the lithium battery — founded in Aachen in 2022 by three visionary founders, including a female CEO.

Our process

The cylib process offers a complete end-to-end process from battery pack to green battery material by employing a combination of mechanical and thermal pre-treatments and an innovative water-based lithium and graphite recovery. cylib can recover battery materials such as lithium, graphite or manganese. The process was developed over several years of research at the renowned RWTH Aachen University and offers an efficient, resource- and climate-friendly recovery of all battery materials from end-of-life batteries.

cylib\'s technology enables the recovery of all battery components regardless of whether it is an end-of-life battery or not. Recovery of green secondary raw materials from the cylib process enables the realization of the true Circular Economy on the European market.
