Location: Düsseldorf area | :80% remote

Language: English (mandatory) | German (nice to have)

Our customer is evolving its central procurement platform. The focus of the assignment is on architectural quality and time-critical delivery, ensuring long-term scalability, stability, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the domain and target architecture for procurement platforms.
• Translate business and transformation needs into scalable, secure architectures.
• Define target states, architecture roadmaps, and technical guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture principles and governance.
• Act as architectural authority and sparring partner for platform teams.
• Evaluate architectural decisions regarding quality, performance, and security.
• Communicate architecture decisions clearly to business and IT stakeholders.

Key Requirements

• Strong enterprise procurement architecture experience.
• Solid supply chain domain expertise.
• Proven role as Domain Architect / Enterprise Architect.
• 12+ years of professional experience in complex IT environments.
• Deep technical understanding of cloud, integration, and platform architectures.

Nice to Have

• Distributed, cloud-native architectures.
• Modern integration patterns (APIs, event-driven, microservices).
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and analytical databases.
• Strong understanding of non-functional requirements (scalability, availability, performance, security).
