System engineer (Lead) [gn]

At LUMASERV, you will manage and oversee our infrastructure running our customers' products, serving millions of users every day.

This role involves the operational management of host systems, routing, switching, storage infrastructure, and hardware within our datacenter using the latest technologies. A deep understanding of cloud technologies, network management, and datacenter operations, along with a proactive approach to system maintenance and enhancement, is required.

You will have the ability to hire and work with your own team supported by our leadership team. Therefore, this role requires a combination of technical expertise and leadership skills.

1. Ensuring a stable service of network and cloud hypervisors
2. System maintenance, optimization, and extension
3. Patch management
4. Implementation and extension of monitoring tools
5. Building and leading a team of system engineers
6. Deep understanding of networks (including switching and routing), on-prem infrastructures, host systems, virtualization, datacenter hardware, and CEPH storage solutions
7. Experience managing network infrastructure and maintaining infrastructure for over thousands of Linux-based VMs
8. Knowledge of cloud technologies and maintaining infrastructure in public cloud environments
9. Skills in implementing and using monitoring tools for early detection and resolution of system issues
10. Knowledge of IT security standards and compliance requirements
11. Ability to plan, coordinate, and successfully execute complex projects
