About The Team

FIL Fondsbank GmbH (FFB) is one of Germany’s leading independent fund platforms and part of Fidelity International, a globally recognized, owner-managed investment company. Our Software Development Data team is at the heart of FFB’s technology ecosystem, ensuring seamless data exchange across internal systems and external interfaces with clients and service providers. We design robust databases, develop ETL processes, build insightful reports, and maintain document management solutions—all while safeguarding the stability and performance of critical technology components, including second-level support.

About The Role

As Manager, Software Development – Data (ETL), you will lead initiatives that enhance our data and ETL layers, as well as our Data Warehouse solutions. You will drive the full software development lifecycle, delivering scalable, high-performance, and maintainable solutions that enable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize the data management layer of our applications.
• Design and implement complex data exchange interfaces using modern ETL tools (Talend).
• Architect and maintain databases and data models to ensure integrity and efficiency.
• Create and refine advanced database queries for performance and accuracy.
• Enhance existing software solutions and ensure continuous improvement.
• Analyse incidents, troubleshoot issues, and resolve code defects promptly.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional delivery teams, technical support, and business stakeholders.
• Provide second-level application support, acting as a trusted partner for troubleshooting and optimization.

About You

You are a forward-thinking professional with a passion for data-driven solutions and continuous improvement. You thrive in collaborative environments and bring both technical expertise and strategic insight to the table.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 6–8 years of technical experience in software development or support within IT or financial services.
• Proven expertise in data modelling and ETL tools, preferably Talend.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle database systems.
• Exceptional / Native communication skills in German and English.
• Flexible, innovative, and committed to learning and growth.
• Experience with collaboration tools such as Atlassian JIRA and ServiceNow.
• Ability to work onsite in Kronberg for 12 days per month.
