NBK / Hunter Douglas Group Context

NBK is a leading provider of architectural terracotta façade systems operating in a project-driven, international environment. The business serves architects and contractors globally and operates production out of Emmerich, with additional finance and operational presence in Portugal and the United States. NBK Ceramics is part of the Hunter Douglas Group, a global leader in building products, and provides customizable terracotta facade systems used by architects and builders worldwide.

NBK is seeking a commercially focused and results-oriented Finance Business Partner to oversee the financial management of NBK Keramik, based in Emmerich (3-4 days on site, 1 day working from home).

As the most senior finance professional within NBK Keramik, you will take ownership of the finance function, deliver strategic insights to support growth, and ensure compliance and performance across all financial operations. You will report functionally to the Divisional Head of Finance and operationally to the General Manager NBK Keramik, working closely with both on day-to-day and long-term initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a financial sparring partner to the General Manager and commercial leadership.
• Provide financial input for commercial and pricing strategies within the project business.
• Drive profitability by supporting cost transparency and performance improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with teams in Portugal and the US to align on reporting and financial operations.
• Lead the forecasting process based on project orderbook and sales quotation pipeline.
• Monitor performance against milestones and budgets, identifying risks and corrective actions.
• Deliver accurate and timely forecasts to support decision-making.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closings according to internal and statutory standards.
• Prepare management reports with financial KPIs, variance analysis, and margin tracking.
• Support internal controls and coordinate audits for Germany and international subsidiaries.
• Lead the annual budget cycle for NBK and contribute to business planning.
• Evaluate SG&A, project costs, and operational expenditure.
• Assess and support capital investment proposals and business case development.

What we’re looking for

• Qualified finance professional (RA, RC, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
• 5 years of experience in a Finance Business Partner or Controlling role. Experience of controlling projects within a factory environment is beneficial.
• Comfortable working within an international environment.
• Fluency in German and English is essential, fluency in Dutch is advantageous.
• Strong ERP knowledge - SAP knowledge is advantageous, but working with similar systems is essential.
