As Group Lead Engineer – Fill & Finish, you will lead the engineering strategy for F&F, ensuring alignment with global production, technical standards, and business goals. You will provide technical guidance, mentor teams, drive standardisation and innovation, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and budget requirements.
The position will be located at one of our production sites: Stockholm, Lingolsheim, Springe, or Vienna.

Responsibilities
- Representing Global Engineering in an engineering‑leading role for Fill and Finish activities in local investment projects
- Collaborate with local project Lead Engineers to assure deliverables for engineering and process design
- Establishing and reviewing design requirements
- Planning and developing process units and systems including layouts and functional flows
- Establishment and review of project descriptions and process flow diagrams
- Coordination of design engineers of process equipment
- Responsible for implementation of Octapharma engineering concepts and standards into projects
- Comparisons of technical and commercial solutions
- Responsible for cGMP level of suggested solutions and documentation
- Collaborate with the other corporate functions and local engineering to define the strategic development of the design solutions and standards to support company requirements for capacity, efficiency etc.
- Support the transfer of the standards to the local sites as well as continued participation in further development
- Act towards the whole organisation as internal consulting, advisory and expert role within area of expertise
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent
- Widely deep experience, +10 years, in engineering and new processes implementation in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record of managing projects and leading teams
- Strong leadership with strategic mindset, critical thinking, problem‑solving and business insight; credible communicator who aligns, plans and drives results
- Proficient in relevant software and project management; persistent, achievement‑oriented, curious and fosters innovation
Department – Where you make an impact
- The corporate Technical Organization is overall technically responsible for the Group
- The corporate Technical Organization is organised into the departments of Engineering, Maintenance and Automation
- The team is mainly responsible for strategic development and capacity development of the group
- The function is crucial for the operations to work in a sustainable manner
- We continuously invest in the site, leading to modernisation and expansion
- The department/section consists of 15 people, and you report to the group Director of Engineering

Salary – Austria Only
The minimum gross wage according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) for your new job is EUR 4 270,14. We strive to adapt your salary to your range of tasks and to your profile, which is why we are ready to pay wages higher than collectively agreed. This is a legal requirement in Austria which is not applicable for other sites.
