In the Digital System Operation team, we support national and international power grid operators in their daily challenges including the integration of renewable energies into the power grid and the secure management of power grids in the context of the energy transition, covering the grid and digital transition. Our focus is on a well functioning control system and the development thereof. Our work has a major share for a successful energy transition.
What will you do
You will support and enable power system operator to build and update their control system to meet future requirements. This will require tasks related to Business Analysts, System Architects and / or data architect. Depending on your expertise and experience your focus may vary, however, the challenge will remain the same: to support and enable a future fit control system, with respect to functions, system design and integration.
Together with you, we will work on the next generation grid operation for both TSOs and DSOs. You will support our customers in analyzing and implementing business processes with the aim of adapting them to current and future challenges, engage in discussions about data governance and define functional requirements. We act as project managers, moderators, experts, change managers and forward thinkers for our customers.
Typical customer projects cover e.g.:
Advising on the strategic use of data,
Analyzing and evaluating technical and functional requirements,
Innovation consulting and further development of the system architecture,
Designing and documenting interfaces, e.g. for data integration (ETL/ELT processes)
Ensuring interoperability between different IT systems and data sources,
Your Main Tasks
Understand current and upcoming regulations in the power system operation field and translate them into technical requirements
Analyze and document current grid operators’ system operation – e.g. IT/OT systems and architecture, functionalities and work processes
Develop ideas, concepts, strategies for updated or new IT/OT functionalities, architectures and work processes
Write a requirement specification for the procurement process – in waterfall or agile implementation style
Support in implementation, testing, training and approval processes
Prepare a basic cost/benefit analysis
Prepare and present C-level suitable presentations to explain technical and financial coherences
A challenging environment to shape the successful energy transition
Working in a motivated team at DNV and with the customer - strong team cohesion, e.g. through joint team activities
Development of innovative, disruptive and market-leading concepts for the future power grid management
Opportunities to participate in various national and international projects in the field of power grid operations
Flexible possibilities to work in the office or home office
Buddy program during onboarding
Many opportunities for personal development - possibilities to quickly take on high responsibility, e.g. as a subject matter expert or project manager
Guaranteed continuous learning through feedback, exchange in the team and work with the customer
Extensive, international and active network of experts for knowledge exchange
Permanent employment
