The Team – your impact

As a Senior AI Engineer (f/m/d), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing AI solutions that enhance decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and enable smarter energy solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and ensuring best practices in AI implementation.

Your Role – meaningful & rewarding

  • Lead the development and enhancement of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures using Python and FastAPI.
  • Design and implement AI-powered solutions leveraging Azure OpenAI Service (GPT-4, Ada) and Azure Search Service.
  • Architect and optimize database models, ensuring efficient data handling using Python, PySpark and Pydantic.
  • Oversee and optimize Azure infrastructure, troubleshooting issues and enhancing system performance.
  • Develop and enforce logging and monitoring strategies for proactive issue detection and system stability.
  • Automate and streamline infrastructure management tasks using Terraform.
  • Provide strategic direction for API development, ensuring best practices in RESTful API design and async programming.

Your Profile – authentic & open-minded

  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Extended years of professional experience in AI development, cloud infrastructure, or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in Python and experience with FastAPI for RESTful API development.
  • Extensive experience in cloud infrastructure management, particularly in Azure.
  • Deep knowledge of Azure Document Intelligence, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Search Service, and Azure Blob Storage.
  • Strong understanding of GitLab CI/CD for automated deployments and testing.
  • Expertise in LLM-based applications, including prompt engineering, embeddings, and vector search.
  • In-depth knowledge of RAG architectures and their application in AI/ML scenarios.
  • Experience with DevOps practices for cloud-based infrastructure maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive technical projects.
  • Knowledge of AI Applications in SAP are a plus.
  • Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.
