You are the focal point with your main business stakeholders (Eco Program, Engineering, Supply Chain, HR…) within the organization for all topics related to program controlling and report into the Head of Controlling & Performance Management at Deutsche Aircraft.
Program Controlling
- You Drive the professional development of the program controlling into a business partner team to support and steer management financially, you lead the ECO Program Controlling by:
- Conducting variance analysis to identify risks and opportunities in program costs, R&D investments, and operational expenses.
- Ensuring cost control and profitability analysis across different business units and especially within the ECO perimeter.
- Managing Earned Value Management (EVM) for tracking project costs and financial performance.
- Implementing KPIs and financial dashboards to support executive decision-making and best use of resources.
- You support the new set-up of production processes, with the implementation of cost accounting/manufacturing controlling for the Aircraft Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Leipzig.
- You contribute to the work out of cost accounting structures jointly with Accounting & IT to ensure a right allocation and follow-up of the company cost base:
- You develop and optimize project structures and business cases for complex project structures.
Program Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting:
- You operationally drive the financial planning and forecasting process of the ECO program.
- You drive operations functions considering all business developments, cost and cash dimensions. A close collaboration with the HO Program is essential.
- You collaborate on the monthly and annual financial statements in close cooperation with accounting and the specialist departments.
Risk management, process improvement and digitalization:
- You Drive efficiency in procurement cost management and inventory valuation, and you conduct financial risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- You actively contribute to the desired change/transformation, in particular the professionalization, standardization, and digitalization of controlling using SAP S/4HANA as base for development/enhancement.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- You actively participate and promote a “can-do attitude” and future-oriented corporate culture by coaching and developing the team.
- You act as a strategic business partner to senior management, program directors, and operations leaders.
- You present financial reports and financial recommendations to executive leadership on Program.
- You report to the HO Controlling & Performance Management and are his sparring partner/deputy.
You’ll bring this with you:
- Degree in economics or a comparable academic qualification (industrial engineering, business informatics).
- >10 years of professional experience in team management of an internationally oriented medium-sized company, preferably from the aviation or automotive/mechanical engineering industry.
- Experience in Production/manufacturing Controlling.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills – not only focused on P&L, but as well on Balance Sheet and Cash.
- Confident handling of MS Office applications (especially Excel, PowerPoint) and ideally knowledge of SAP (FI, CO), where you have contributed also to system improvement projects.
- Independent, structured, and meticulous way of working, coupled with a proactive, solution-oriented and independent approach to implementation.
- Very good presentation and communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial thinking and acting with a strong customer and service orientation and high-quality awareness.
- Fluent written and spoken German and English. Another foreign language is an advantage in an international environment of responsibility.
