Tasks

• You will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing backend engineering team.
• You will define best practices and ensure high-quality code and system performance.
• You will work closely with the leadership team to define and align the overall TECH strategy.
• You will collaborate with Product, Frontend, and DevOps teams to define and align technical requirements and roadmaps, acting as Technical Leader for complex projects.
• You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-availability backend architectures based on market standards.
• You will ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions and continuously optimize system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Your responsibilities include defining and monitoring quality objectives, as well as key performance indicators to evaluate the performance of the backend department and product quality.
• You will measure the quality of cross-functional team features by analyzing data and collaborating with our data team.

Profile

• Completed degree in computer science or natural sciences, with at least 5-7 years of professional software development experience.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience with various teams, with the ability to motivate and work hands-on with team members.
• Expertise in developing scalable web applications and system-level backend development.
• Proficiency in backend technologies such as Kotlin, Ruby, Java, Node.js, Go, etc.
• Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK), API design (OpenAPI, Contracts), distributed systems, and complex architecture setups.
• High empathy and excellent communication skills within social processes.
• Pragmatic and theory-based approach to agile development processes.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
