Head of Finance & Controlling (m/f/d)

High-Growth Defence / Technology Scale-up

For a rapidly growing, internationally active technology scale-up with a defence focus, we are looking for an entrepreneurial finance leader to take on the role of Head of Finance & Controlling.

This role goes far beyond classic controlling — we are seeking someone who understands finance as a strategic value driver and proactively creates impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership of Finance, Controlling & Liquidity Management
• Optimisation of payment flows, currency management & FX topics
• Identifying risks and opportunities before they arise
• Leading negotiations with banks, payment service providers & partners
• Building and further developing the financial structure (team size flexible)
• Close collaboration with the CEO & management on scaling and M&A topics

Desired Profile:

• Strong drive & ambition
• Enjoys working in start-up / scale-up environments
• Strong results orientation
• Highly analytical, yet pragmatic and execution-focused
• Experience in Finance / Controlling / Treasury / Corporate Finance
• Very strong command of English
• Based in Germany, ideally Rheinland-Pfalz, with international collaboration (English as the working language)

Salary range: €80,000 – €110,000 p.a. fixed, plus bonus on top.
