Senior MRI Integration Engineer (f/m/d)

Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary: €70,000 – €75,000 (fixed range, annual gross)
- Equity: €20,000 – €40,000 in company shares
- Benefits: Up to €5,000 annually
- Work model: Full‑time, Hybrid (Germany)
Your Role
We are looking for a Senior MRI Engineer to develop solutions that enable the next generation of our AI‑powered MRI products to become more automated, efficient, and scalable. As part of the Imaging team, you will use your expertise in MRI and your excellent problem‑solving skills to lead the development of software tools and features that enhance our products.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team, contributing expertise in MRI and software knowledge.
- Lead the full development lifecycle of MRI automation features.
- Integrate MRI hardware into our product lines.
- Contribute to the development of novel imaging applications.
- Develop automation processes to control and monitor MRI systems in production.
- Develop solutions for MRI software releases, installations, and system reliability.
Required Experience & Skills
- Background in MRI physics (6+ years, ideally a PhD).
- Experience in MRI acquisition and knowledge of advanced pulse sequences.
- Knowledge of MRI reconstruction concepts and common data formats.
- Hands‑on experience integrating external software or hardware with MRI systems.
- Experience writing software in Python.
- Experience developing code collaboratively using version control.
- Appreciation for best practices for high‑quality production code.
Nice to Have
- Keen interest in software development and common Python tools.
- Understanding of clean‑code principles.
- Experience with continuous integration.
- Experience with common Python libraries for science and image processing (numpy, scipy, pydicom, etc.).
- Proactive identification of strategic opportunities for product and process improvement.
- Efficient learning and building deep knowledge fast.
- Broad perspective and adaptability to shifting priorities.
- Ability to turn ideas into tangible products efficiently.
- Interest in tackling problems with novel solutions and interdisciplinary collaboration.
