About the IoT team

We are a supportive, quality-driven group of tech enthusiasts who strive to improve daily and are eager to assist you on your journey with us! Our global team includes members from India and Germany, collaborating via Microsoft Teams, Jira, and Confluence. We are aiming to provide a platform that accelerates IoT adoption for operational excellence, customer experience, and employee safety. We built a global platform that processes data from millions of connected devices across DHL and are developing modular use cases for real-time asset monitoring and actionable insights.

Tech stack

Our IoT platform is built on Microsoft Azure, featuring a micro-services architecture and Azure DevOps for continuous integration and delivery, utilizing Docker and Kubernetes. We primarily use .NET Core, C#, and Angular for coding. Our Frontend is serving both DHL colleagues as well as DHL customers.

Role and responsibilities

Ready to embark on the journey? Here’s what we are looking for:

We’re looking for a Managing Consultant with extensive experience as a frontend architect that can consult the IoT team and its customers on product development (yeees, we also do something with AI) and improving existing code in accordance with high quality and reliability requirements.

What do we expect from you?

• Consult technical team, product owner and customers on product development and performance improvements
• Proven experience as a frontend developer and/or architect with a strong portfolio of projects
• Strong knowledge in Angular including latest features and developments and required fundamental technologies (Javascript, Typescript, and (S)CSS)
• Sound knowledge in frontend testing techniques (unit and integration testing)
• Solid understanding of frontend architectural concepts, design patterns and a knack for writing clean, testable, easily maintainable code
• Knowledge of security and data protection (e.g. OWASP Top-10)
• Understanding of cost management in line with business needs
• Individual with positive energy, can-do attitude and high focus on value creation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Very good written and spoken English
• Very good communication skills

Good to have

• An eye for visual details and expertise in UX
• Basic understanding of REST API principles
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Kubernetes Service
• Experience in product ownership from building through to running and maintaining an application
