Purpose of the Job

As a Schematics & Apparatus Engineer/Technician, you will design train electrical architecture. You will specify electrical apparatus based on project requirements and preferred parts list. You will create circuit diagrams with wiring information and manage the configuration of these deliverables.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Develop functional schematics considering product boundary conditions.
  2. Create circuit diagrams with wiring information.
  3. Specify electrical apparatus.
  4. Select and dimension cabling, connectors, and terminals.
  5. Define harnesses.
  6. Support manufacturing internally and at suppliers.
  7. Ensure return of experience and support continuous improvement.
  8. Manage S&A QCD activities and subcontracting management.
  9. Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and external suppliers.
  10. Interpret customer specifications to ensure design compliance.
  11. Define work packages for external engineering support.
  12. Supervise and perform quality control of engineering support.

Your Profile:

  1. Graduate from an engineering school.
  2. Knowledge of electrical and/or electrotechnical engineering.
  3. Basic knowledge of rail technology is advantageous.
  4. Experience with Electrical CAD, ideally Zuken E3 series or equivalent.
  5. Basic skills in Visual Basic, C, or similar languages.
  6. Proficiency in English and/or German.
