Senior Legal Counsel - Employment Law (m/f/d)

Location: Hamburg | Full-time | People & Culture Team | Consulting Firm

As part of a dynamic People & Culture team, you\'ll play a key role in shaping the future of work by providing expert legal guidance across all aspects of employment law—both individual and collective.

Your Responsibilities

  • Advise HR and leadership on all matters of individual and collective labor law.
  • Draft and review employment-related documents (contracts, policies, templates).
  • Handle employment law fundamentals and contribute to company-wide policy development.
  • Represent the company in labor law proceedings and deliver training on legal topics and new case law.
  • Lead negotiations and maintain constructive relationships with employee representative bodies.
  • Support the development of innovative HR tools and contribute to labor law-related projects.
  • Monitor changes in labor and social legislation and develop implementation strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Risk & Compliance teams, including data protection.

Your Profile

  • Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist/in) with several years of experience in employment law, either in-house or in a law firm.
  • Strong expertise in individual and collective labor law, including temporary employment and social security law.
  • Practical experience drafting policies, works agreements, and negotiating with employee representation committees.
  • Proven advisory and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex legal matters.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, negotiation strength, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Strong communication skills in English AND German.
