Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Strategic management and further development of the IT infrastructure team in the areas of Data Center, Network, Cloud Strategy & Digital Workplace for service design and global 3rd level support.
  • Development and implementation of a future-oriented IT infrastructure strategy including roadmap development, implementation and continuous optimization for the business units
  • Design, planning and management of complex infrastructure projects such as cloud migrations, data center modernization, IT security initiatives
  • Optimization and harmonization of internal IT processes in a plan-build-run organization, responsible for change & release management and knowledge management
  • Responsibility for performance and operational security of a resilient and redundant global infrastructure design including all IT security requirements.
  • Budget responsibility for the IT infrastructure as well as selection, management and support of external service providers and technology partners.

Qualifications

  • Degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable qualification
  • Strong management experience in the field of IT infrastructure in an international environment
  • In-depth technical understanding in networks, cloud technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS), IT security, virtualization, Microsoft 365 and/or data centers
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking paired with a hands-on mentality
  • Proven project management experience in international infrastructure projects
  • Professional appearance, proactive and independent way of working and ability to work in a team
  • Willingness to travel (globally) up to 25% p.a.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in German and English
