Aufgaben
As an SAP Inhouse Consultant in our IT department, you will actively shape the future of our global export, import and customs processes. You will bring your deep expertise in SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) to ensure compliance with global trade regulations and optimise our international logistics chain.
- Ensure that we deliver maximum benefit for internal global customers.
- Responsible for the introduction, further development and optimisation of SAP GTS processes and features – with special focus on sanctions list checks, preference management, export control and customs clearance.
- Conceptualise and perform hands‑on customising in national and international rollout projects.
- Advise internal project managers and business units as a skilled GTS process expert for efficient and compliant trade processes.
- Analyse and design customer‑specific requirements to deliver tailored solutions – from fit‑gap analysis to final implementation.
- In interdisciplinary teams optimise processes, implement them in SAP or SAP‑near environments (GTS/SD/MM/LE) and ensure high quality of implementations, including testing and error analysis.
- Contribute ideas to the conceptual redesign of global templates.
Profil
- Completed university degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, Business Administration or a comparable qualification.
- Fundamental knowledge and several years of relevant experience with SAP Global Trade Services (GTS), ideally in Compliance Management, Customs Management and/or Preference Management.
- Deep process knowledge of international trade and customs law and export control.
- Excellent hands‑on customising skills in SAP GTS and good SAP SD knowledge – ideally LE. Cross‑functional process knowledge is an advantage.
- Experience with complex IT or SAP projects and international roll‑outs.
- Experience integrating SAP GTS with upstream (SD) and downstream (Customs/Finance) systems (interface design/EDI).
- Familiarity with SAP S4 or Fiori is a plus.
- Basic SAP debugging skills are desirable.
- Fluent German and conversant English for the international project environment.
- Willingness for occasional business travel.
- Assertiveness, communication strength, end‑to‑end process thinking and teamwork orientation complete your profile.
