With our continued expansion into Europe and beyond, NEC is now looking to recruit a high-calibre Sales Manager for the DACH region to help drive our expansion strategy, directly with our client and through our technology partners. The key market of this role will be focusing on the Communications Service Provider (CSP’s) and selected Enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
You will deliver the company’s revenue objectives for new and existing DACH accounts, by developing and executing appropriate sales strategies and tactics, whilst also developing business opportunities within selected target clients. The sales opportunities will be either directly with the end clients or via partners.
- Actively maintain established customer relationships to ensure satisfaction with our services and solutions, identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell the company's range of products. Act as a trusted advisor.
- Skillfully negotiate commitment and growth deals to secure long-term business and revenue growth, effectively closing deals and achieving sales targets.
- Achieving the company's quarterly and annual sales targets in the DACH region for specific clients and partners.
- Defining, agreeing and executing NEC’s sales strategy and processes for existing and new targets.
- Managing selected partner channels, sell and grow sales through those channels.
- Tracking pipeline, developing and communicating forecasts.
- Providing structured feedback to product management, marketing and operations teams concerning customer issues, needs and priorities relevant to NEC’s Technology’s solutions offerings.
- Establish effective operational and financial governance around ongoing assignments.

Job-Related Requirements
You have a demonstrable and successful track record of achieving revenue objectives through personal effort using a network of contacts and by leading and managing sales. Success in working with CSPs, in consultancy, professional services and software is a must, along with success in selling high-value, complex solution sales to major CSPs.
- Sales experience showing clear career progression and proven recent series of wins within CSPs.
- A consistent track record of achieving sales objectives.
- Planning and forecasting skills.
- Experience in selling with and through Solution Partners (e.g. systems and/or network integrators); in consultancy, professional services and software to CSPs.
- Experience of working in mobile networks; in fixed networks is a plus.
- Large company and early-stage experience, used to working in virtual matrix teams and sharing resources.
- Experience of developing sales strategy, methodology for new and innovative solutions.
- Professionally sales trained and experience with sales methodologies, such as Salesforce.com and CRM360.
- Comfortable to close ‘early and often’ to shorten sales cycles.
- Ability to build sustained customer and partner relationships based on trust and delivery of commitments.
- Understanding the dynamics of startups and big corporates and flexibility to change as we learn.
- Ability to promote and sell innovative services/products as they are being developed and/or improved.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - at all levels and command respect internally and externally.
- Credible up to and including C-level in CSPs and channels.
- Excellent organizer with problem solving skills.
