Overview
GDIT is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer using Cloud, AWS/S3, and data storage experience to provide Security Analyst services for our Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services (EMITS) program supporting U.S. Army Europe, AFRICOM and SAG-U (Ukrainian Support).
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and support migration of modern (e.g., cloud, AWS Redshift, AWS glue) databases and data processing services, data architecture, and data storage
- Develop BI reports, dashboards, and/or predictive analytics using BI tools such as Birst, Power BI, Microstrategy, Tableau, AWS Quicksight, OBIEE, etc.
- Perform SQL scripting
- Configure AWS tools to scan data sets
- Utilize Cloud tools to analyze data, recommend solutions for migration of data to the cloud
- Develop and run reports to report data inventory as a deliverable to our client
Qualifications
- Security Clearance Required: U.S. Secret Security Clearance (Citizenship)
- Education: BA/BS in Computer Science or related discipline
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Data Engineer
- Skills: Experience with modern cloud design principles and best practices
- Experience with migration of modern (e.g., cloud, AWS Redshift, AWS glue) databases and data processing services, data architecture, and data storage. Expertise developing BI reports, dashboards, and/or predictive analytics using BI tools such as Birst, Power BI, Microstrategy, Tableau, AWS Quicksight, OBIEE, etc. Experience with SQL scripting; Extended experience with service oriented environment and best development practices; Superior knowledge of the fundamentals of iterative developments and applications of Agile concepts and principles.
- Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II
- Desired Skills and Experience: 4 years of experience as a Data Analyst/Engineer; Data Warehousing/ Data Architecture; SQL Relational Databases; AWS Cloud; Amazon S3; AWS CLI; AWS Athena; AWS Glue ETL; Amazon Redshift; Amazon Quicksight; SSRS; Apache PySpark; Python; Scala

Salary & Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. International assignments may include allowances, premium uplifts, relocation or transportation benefits above base salary range noted.
