Job Description:

We are seeking a Lead Engineer Embedded Software (M/F/D) to join our engineering department in Idstein. The role involves:

  • Leading a team of 6 engineers in developing complex embedded software solutions, focusing on SFOC projects for motor controls in power tools.
  • Collaborating with the Chief Engineer for Embedded Software and other teams to enhance platforming initiatives and drive innovation.
  • Managing multiple projects, including estimating, monitoring, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Providing technical guidance and collaborating with stakeholders to develop highly complex systems.
  • Implementing secure coding practices and overseeing design reviews to ensure quality.
  • Developing strategies to promote advanced technologies and processes.
  • Planning resources, developing personnel, and managing employee health and safety.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • Extensive experience in embedded software development, especially in SFOC implementation for power tools, with leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and experience with Git.
  • Experience with Jira APIs and errata sheets.
  • Skills in troubleshooting, object-oriented design, and fostering innovation.
  • Knowledge of motor control, especially Sensorless Field Oriented Control.
