We are seeking a Senior Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer to join our team at Urenco's Gronau, Germany site. In this key role, you will lead the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) process, including conducting technical feasibility and Best Available Technology (BAT) studies for various projects across Urenco. As the C&I Lead Engineer, you will oversee the Conceptual and Basic Design of new facilities or modifications to existing ones, ensuring high-quality outcomes through the supervision of third-party engineering service providers.

You will also develop and maintain Urenco's design standards to meet safety and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will contribute to plant design specifications, asset management strategies, CapEx planning, and safety protocols, enhancing operational efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote Safety Culture: Foster a proactive safety environment through analyses and continuous learning based on industry experience.
  • Advanced Plant Design: Incorporate safety features aligned with industry best practices and nuclear sector insights.
  • Lead C&I Design Evaluation: Contribute to feasibility studies, option analyses, and BAT studies.
  • Conceptual and Basic Design: Deliver high-quality design and specifications focusing on C&I systems.
  • Project Oversight: Provide direction in detailed design and ensure quality control during manufacturing.
  • Technical Excellence: Maintain expertise in CPT design standards and technological advancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Process Engineering, or related field.
  • Recognized expertise in C&I and automation, with problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in delivering complex FEED and conceptual designs for process facilities.
  • At least 3 years in a lead engineer role managing design projects.
  • Proficiency in modelling and simulating process systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of C&I within the nuclear industry.
  • Competency in data analysis for troubleshooting and performance optimization.
