Senior Project Manager - Early-Stage Drug Discovery

Location: Munich

Salary - up to €90,000

Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are working with a BioTech company who are on the search for a Senior Project Manager. This position involves end-to-end project management of early-stage drug discovery programs, serving as the main point of contact for international biotech and pharma clients.

Responsibilities include defining scientific strategy, leading multidisciplinary teams (protein science, assays, structural biology), and translating project objectives into actionable plans and proposals. The role includes client acquisition and delivery of results from gene to qualified hits, aligned with research target profiles (e.g., mode of action, biophysical validation, structure determination).

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage customer-facing drug discovery projects
• Define scientific approaches and guide cross-functional teams
• Translate scientific strategy into commercial proposals
• Drive project acquisition and execution, ensuring quality, budget, and timelines
• Provide solutions aligned with target and customer needs

Candidate Profile:

• PhD in Life Sciences
• At least 2 years' experience in pharma, biotech, or CRO, with strong knowledge of early drug discovery
• Familiarity with enabling technologies (protein science, assays, structural biology)
• Proven project management skills, including leading teams and client communication
• Commercial awareness and solution-oriented thinking
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a proactive approach to risk management
