Overview

R&D Manager Project Engineering (all genders) REF: R00131691

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership to the Project Engineering department including personnel management, training management, department organizational structure, and project management.
  • Lead the project strategic planning of the next fiscal year capital plan and administer and lead the annual site capital plan and department budget.
  • Deliver capital plan last best estimates (LBE) as per established finance frequencies and project accounting requirements.
  • Prioritize projects and take responsibility for achieving the projects and capital plan financial targets in support of business objectives and life cycle costs.
  • Administer asset management, project lifecycle, and energy sustainability programs.
  • Drive the site capital long range plan from development to submission.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements and promote continuous improvement; consider EHS aspects during project design and change processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, science, or closely related discipline with 8+ years of significant engineering and/or operational experience.
  • Engineering lead role experience in the Biopharma industry with demonstrated technical contributions and accomplishments (advantageous).
  • Ability to interact with Senior Management and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and collaborators.
  • Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to present respectfully and clearly.
  • Strong technical knowledge with concepts, practices, and procedures for solving problems of complex scope and multiple factors.
  • Strong competency with financial systems and fiscal control; computer literacy including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Outlook), AutoCAD, SAP, among others.
  • Proficiency in German and English.
