To strengthen our BU Zinc team, we are looking for a Technical Sales Manager UK/IR & Benelux (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.

As Technical Sales Manager for regions United Kingdom, Ireland and Benelux, you are responsible for driving profitable growth through a combination of technical expertise and commercial excellence. You will develop and manage customer relationships, identify new market opportunities, and act as the key technical interface between our customers and the internal teams of the Business Unit Zinc.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Market Development

  • Achieve revenue and margin targets in the assigned region
  • Actively develop new business opportunities and grow existing accounts
  • Build long‑term partnerships through trust, reliability, and technical support
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities
  • Contribute to regional forecasts, budgets, and sales strategies

Technical Customer Support

  • Provide technical advice to customers on product selection, applications, and process optimisation
  • Conduct on‑site trials, trainings, analytics and product demonstrations
  • Collaborate closely with R&D and Product Management to adapt or develop products for specific customer requirements
  • Handle technical complaints and ensure professional resolution in cooperation with Quality and Technical teams
  • Work closely with the Head of Technical Sales and Head of Sales within BU Zinc
  • Liaise with internal functions such as Supply Chain, Production, Product Management, and R&D
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, conferences, and customer events
  • Maintain and document all customer activities in the CRM system

Strategic Contribution

  • Support the implementation of the regional business strategy
  • Identify growth opportunities and contribute ideas for new applications and market approaches
  • Strengthen the market position of BU Zinc in the region through technical and commercial excellence

Professional background:

  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or technical apprenticeship (e.g. laboratory technician, CTA) with first commercial experiences
  • Sound experience in technical sales, ideally in the surface treatment or water/wastewater treatment technologies. Motivated graduates with a strong learning attitude are welcome.
  • Proven track record in international sales, preferably within UK/IR & Benelux
  • Strong technical understanding and commercial acumen
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools
  • Willingness to travel frequently (approx. 50–60%)
