## Senior Software Engineer - Geospatial Backend CloudGermany - Stuttgart**Job Title:** Senior Software Engineer - Geospatial Backend Cloud (m/f/d)**Location:** On-site – Stuttgart, GermanyThe Stuttgart office of Trimble Inc. is looking for a skilled **Senior Geospatial Cloud Software Engineer** with a strong foundation in **cloud technologies** to join our engineering team. Write **Python scripts** for automation, testing, data analysis, or integration tasks* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable professional experience.* 6+ years of experience in backend development using **C# and .NET Core*** Hands-on experience with **cloud platforms** (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also considered)* Working knowledge of **Python** for scripting, automation, or backend logic* Strong understanding of **API design, microservices, and distributed systems*** Familiarity with **CI/CD tools** (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)* Production experience with **PostgreSQL, MongoDB**, **SQL Server** or similar* Experience with **version control (Git)** and agile development methodologies* Strong understanding of Linux system administration fundamentals.* Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code experience* Large scale cloud application experience, with demonstrable ability to troubleshoot and solve production issues.* Exposure to **machine learning pipelines** or **data engineering** using Python and / or Scala / Spark* Experience with geospatial datatypes (coordinate systems raster, vector, point cloud, mesh)* Expertise in computer graphics or computer vision, in particular mesh or photogrammetry processing.Experience with **containerization and orchestration** (Docker, Kubernetes)Experience with **serverless architectures** (e.g., Azure Functions, AWS Lambda)Knowledge of **event-driven systems** (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus)Familiarity with **monitoring and logging tools** (Application Insights, ELK, Prometheus, etc.)* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills* Strong communication and teamwork abilities* Self-motivated and proactive with a focus on quality and delivery* Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and challengesTop skillsAPIGitHubGitC++1.
