Full Professor or Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Financial Risk Management

Overview

The University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, invites applications for a position of Professor/Assistant Professor in finance. The successful candidate will conduct research in financial risk management and is expected to take teaching and administrative responsibilities at different levels at the Faculty of Economics and Business (Bachelor in Economics and Business, Master in Finance).

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in financial risk management.
• Take teaching and administrative responsibilities at different levels at the Faculty of Economics and Business (Bachelor in Economics and Business, Master in Finance).
• Teaching commitment: 7 periods of 45 minutes per week each semester for a full professor and 4 periods for a tenure-track assistant professor.
• Supervise Master’s and PhD theses.
• Interest in derivatives, alternative investments, or financial technology will be an advantage.

Qualifications

• PhD in finance or in a closely related field.
• Solid competence in both teaching and research, and a record of publications (or the potential to publish) in leading academic journals.
• Courses will be taught in French and English. Non-French speakers are expected to teach in French after a two-year period.
