Reporting to the Marketing Lead Spine Switzerland, the candidate will be responsible for a range of Spine product brands, technologies and services. Key aspects of the role are the development and implementation of the multi-year product & service strategy as well as the related annual marketing plans. This includes providing full clinical and commercial support to our sales team and customers for the assigned product & service segment.
The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset as well as collaboration and leadership in several areas of sales, marketing and project management including end-to-end implementation of key projects, business development in high potential accounts, KOL engagement, customer segmentation, targeting and positioning, new product introductions, supply chain management and monitoring competitive and sales dynamics.
Objectives of the position:
- Accountable for assigned product, technology & service segment and achievement of business goals
- Product owner and expert for assigned products in Switzerland
- Provide ongoing market analysis and conduct product segment performance analysis for existing brands and new products to actively manage the product life cycle
- Increase profitability through product mix management
- Identify industry trends and relevant competitive information
- Implement and maintain a deep knowledge of competitor's products and strategies in the local market
- Identify new business opportunities for the assigned product & service segment
- Develop and execute strategy for assigned product & service segment and new product introduction plans
- Prepare and implement annual marketing plans for assigned product & service segment to achieve business goals
- Support sales team and customers for new product introductions and assigned product & service segment through product presentations, first class clinical support and tailored training offering
- Build and maintain relevant network with clinical key opinion leaders and different stakeholders in the buying cycle to understand needs and translate into business opportunities
- Coordinate and support relevant congress appearances, marketing events and professional education events
- Collaborate with all relevant national and international functions including customer service, sales team, sales managers, EMEA and global marketing managers as well as external partners to drive execution and deliver on marketing plans and strategies related to the assigned product & service segment
Qualifications & Experience:
- University / Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in a technical field
- 5+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing in medical devices
- Prior experience in the Spine and / or Enabling Technology industry is preferred
- Prior experience in other Orthopaedics businesses or global / regional marketing team is an advantage
- Languages: English and German are required (French / Italian are a benefit)
- The position is located in Zuchwil and Zug, Switzerland and requires travel up to 25% of the time
- Valid Driver’s licence
- Good leadership and project management skills as well as a sense of entrepreneurship
- Team player with ability to work in matrix environments
- Ability to rapidly build trust and effectively interact and collaborate
- Strategic and analytic capabilities, including excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Secure handling of the MS Office suite including AI and advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
