Operational Buyer - Supply Chain (SAP / Raw Materials) - Visp

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor and track supplier performance, providing feedback to strategic buyers and category managers.
• Support supplier changes, qualifications, and initiatives led by Category Managers or Site Strategic Buyers.
• Maintain accurate material and vendor master data in SAP (or similar ERP).
• Manage supplier escalations including delivery delays, pricing discrepancies, and missing confirmations.
• Drive improvements in on-time delivery, quality, and supplier compliance.
• Handle vendor returns (RMA, cost recovery, replacements).
• Conduct regular open-order reviews with suppliers.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) inquiries and invoice issues.
• Support internal teams in onboarding and approving new materials and suppliers.
• Execute competitive bid processes and assist in contract negotiations for low-value agreements.
• Perform other procurement-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
• Extensive experience in operational purchasing or procurement.
• Strong SAP (or ERP) system expertise.
• Background in purchasing raw materials within manufacturing or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Proven ability to manage supplier performance and negotiations.
• Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
