Overview

DKNY is an international brand in fashion being part of the American group G-III Apparel Group LTD.

Global fashion brand is looking for an area manager to oversee the international wholesale distribution for their apparel, footwear and accessories collections.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the existing distribution within the assigned geographic areas and identify new opportunities.
  • Seasonal budget forecasting
  • Seasonal sales campaign preparation
  • Achieve the seasonal budget objectives
  • Assuring strongest assortment placement, guaranteeing brand consistency, providing the highest potential of sales performance
  • Monitor sales performance with key accounts on a weekly basis and address in season opportunities and schedule monthly touch base calls with key partners to discuss business progress.
  • Identify opportunities with agents to develop our distribution in specific geographic areas to complement directly managed partners.
  • Frequent travel to remain updated on market evolution/competitors, visiting existing partners and prospect new business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in wholesale (retail experience is a plus) managing the international market.
  • Strong understanding of the international market with strong relationships across different distribution channels (e-tailers, department stores, multibrand stores).
  • Fluent written and spoken English, other written and spoken European language(s) is/are a plus.
  • Proficiency in computer skills in particular Excel and Power Point
  • Retail math understanding
  • Strong social skills and ability to communicate and establish relations at all levels
  • Ability to work within a dynamic team environment
  • Passion for the fashion world
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexibility
  • Strategic and business agility
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Availability and flexibility to travel are a must
