Maintenance Specialist

About the job: Martur Italy S.r.l., part of the Martur Fompak International Group, develops and manages projects for original equipment suppliers to the automotive industry. The focus is on interior trim products such as seats, instrument panels, door and trim panels, roof racks, parcel shelves, pillars, and sun visors. This role will support production continuity through effective maintenance activities.

Job Expectations

Perform equipment installation, repair, and reactive/preventive maintenance to ensure continuous production.

Qualifications

• Technical Bachelor Degree/High School or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Good PLC knowledge

Main Responsibilities

• Program and integrate automatic machines, using PLC systems, to develop innovative industrial automation solutions.
• Examine mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures in the production area, determine root causes, and standardize corrective actions.
• Determine critical machines for planned maintenance, specify maintenance periods, and prepare annual schedules.
• Plan work distribution and material needs for maintenance activities.
• Ensure vehicles are properly positioned and connected before commissioning.
• Conduct improvement studies and provide feedback to the Quality department on non‑conformities.
• Support planning of machine and process capabilities, initiate improvement works, and conduct tests.
• Support test works during final acceptance of production vehicles.
• Provide training support to operators for autonomous maintenance procedures.
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers, supervising completed work.
• Assist Purchasing in contacting and assessing material suppliers.
• Support maintenance activities performed by the warranty‑covering company.
• Prepare a critical spare parts list, determine minimum levels, and manage stock.
• Promote occupational safety awareness within the team.
• Ensure 5S compliance in the maintenance unit and working area.
• Create and enforce use of SMP and standardization forms.
• Develop team work plans to ensure efficient operations.
• Assist in budgeting annual maintenance activities.
• Report maintenance activities to management.
