Overview
🚀 Join Rilemo – Empowering Diagnostics for Anyone, Anywhere
Rilemo is a MedTech startup building a portable diagnostic imaging device that works wherever the patient is, from ambulances to home care. By integrating advanced non ionising electromagnetic imaging and AI, we aim to radically decentralize diagnostics and bring high-quality medical imaging beyond the hospital walls. Our mission is to make diagnosis more timely, inclusive, and accessible for all.
We are currently looking for a highly motivated technical person to join our team and contribute to the development of our industrialised device, ready for the clinical tests.
Position
👨💻 Electronics Design & RF Engineer at Rilemo
- Location : Hybrid (Milan-based)
- Type : Full-time Position
- Starting : December 2025 - January 2026
- You’ll work closely with the CTO
What We’re Looking For
We\'re looking for a person passionate about working on bringing to life medical applications by creating novel PCB Designs and Radio Frequency circuits.
If you\'re excited about developing cutting-edge microwave imaging circuits to empower decentralized healthcare, and are comfortable with PCB design, circuit simulations, high end laboratory equipment, then Rilemo might be for you!
Are you ready to become part of a dynamic, collaborative, and multidisciplinary startup environment?
Main Responsibilities
- Design of High Frequency Printed Circuit Boards based on active components and microcontrollers with the goal to capture novel medical images. Starting with problem conceptualisation, to Off The Shelf Components selection, schematic capture and PCB design;
- Support the PCB design with numerical and simulation based approaches;
- Support comprehensive testing and validation of the designed circuits with high end laboratory equipment (VNA, PNA, TDR, Spectrum Analyzers, RF Oscilloscopes, etc.);
- Collaborate with the team to seamlessly integrate everything into the system architecture.
Must-Have
- Experience in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design including active components and microcontrollers, with particular focus on circuit simulations and design verification.
- Experience with microwave and radio-frequency (RF) electromagnetic simulation tools for the design of Filters, Antennas, Couplers or other RF elements via softwares such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight Pathwave, ADS, etc.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Confident in reading academic papers, application notes, datasheets, and to implement and verify their methods.
Nice-to-Have
- Confident on concepts as Signal and Power Integrity, Power Delivery Networks, and distributed circuits simulations and testing.
- Experience with RF and Microwave circuit design, laboratory testing for EMI, EMC and for Anechoic Chamber characterisation.
- Practical experience with Vector Network Analysers (VNA), Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analysers (SA) and their working and operational principles.
- Experience with fast prototyping or making projects with Arduino, Raspberry, etc.
- Experience in working with and developing digital acquisition systems (DAQ).
- Some experience with Digital Electronics as FPGA is a bonus
What You Get
- Competitive and negotiable salary (25-35k), depending on experience and fit, with very rapid growth potential.
- The compensation package includes early-stage stock options and growth opportunities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- A core role in an ambitious startup, joining as one of our earliest team members.
- A collaborative work environment shared with other brilliant entrepreneurs at B4i’s co-working space (Centro Leoni, Milan).
- Possibility of visiting partnering state of the art Research Institutes laboratories, both in, and outside Italy.
- First-hand experience developing an AI-powered portable medical device in a real startup environment.
