Job summary: Support various portfolio management efforts for Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation (CFSC).

Responsibilities

  • Collection activities: identify direct debit returns, contact customers to collect money (friendly management) and send by mail amounts due. Follow up until collection. If it is not possible and after fulfilling legal and internal parameters, propose the case to manager in order to decide the start of legal action.
  • Legal management: contact with external lawyers to provide them documents needed to start a legal action and give them instructions. Payment agreements and repossession of assets.
  • Repossession activities: contact lawyers, transport companies and dealer to arrange the pickup and storage of machines. Check invoices, request authorization for payment and submit it to Accounting Department. Verify bank account details when needed.
  • Inventory and remarketing: valuate machines through Valuation and Remarketing internal Dept. Contact customer to offer three appraisal companies. Contact with appraisal companies to evaluate the machines. Negotiate the sale of the asset.
  • CRIBIS alerts management
  • Answer to Cisco and to mobile phone
  • Manage Territory manager’s customers request (early buyout calculations, dichiarazione sostitutiva, ecc)
  • Manage Letters from Guardia di Finanza, DIA etc
  • Manage customer complaints
  • Back-up activities
  • Manage contract modifications, companies’ variations, assumptions, etc

Job Requirements

  • Skills, abilities and knowledge
  • Ability to analyze past due accounts and customer credit summaries.
  • Knowledge of financing and taxation principles.
  • Knowledge of and ability to calculate casualty values and amortization schedules.
  • Ability to drive a car or adequately arrange for transportation to and from dealerships, customer sites, etc.

Education, experience

A 4-year college or university degree in any discipline is recommended. Previous work experience should be progressively increasing in responsibility and accountability and demonstrate an ability to gain in knowledge, skills, and responsibility such that a level of full competency can be reached. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
