CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER - COO (Manufacturing Company)

For our client, a leading manufacturing company serving the global market, we are recruiting a highly motivated Chief Operating Officer responsible for leading and managing all manufacturing and operations activities across worldwide plants.

Position Function

The manager will oversee manufacturing and supply chain operations in China, South America, Italy, and Eastern Europe. The COO will be a hands-on, strategic, and detail-oriented leader with proven experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, quality, and management. The primary focus will be developing and executing an integrated operations strategy that delivers low cost, high quality products, flexibility, and customer satisfaction.

Director of Supply Chain, Plant Directors, Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Quality Director, Maintenance Managers, Customer Care Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

People Leadership

  • Create a compelling vision and secure team buy-in.
  • Implement effective communication processes.
  • Support team development and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of execution and customer service.

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead manufacturing strategic planning and implementation.
  • Identify growth opportunities and establish operational plans.

Operational Accountability

  • Contribute to strategic management as part of the executive team.
  • Recommend and implement manufacturing strategies.
  • Manage operations featuring high product mix and configure-to-order processes.
  • Drive process improvements and capacity planning.
  • Ensure reporting tools monitor results and promote continuous improvement.

Skills/Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years in manufacturing operations leadership.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification and lean manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience restructuring manufacturing footprints and automation.
  • Proven ability to transform strategy into measurable results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Operational Leadership, Engineering, or Business required; MBA preferred. Additional training in Demand Flow, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma is a plus.
