Rosewood Rome is looking for an Information Technology (IT) Manager. This role is responsible for organizing the IT department during pre‑opening and operation to the highest professional standards and in accordance with the established procedures issued by the management, the corporate IT Director, and the hard‑ and software manufacturers.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in information and technology or related professional area.

OR

2‑year degree from an accredited university in technology‑related business administration, or related major; 3 years experience in related professional area.

Language

Good command in English oral and written and native and/or excellent in Italian.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all pertinent policies and procedures.
  • Exhibit managerial abilities and team‑leading skillsets.
  • Work towards implementing the corporate manuals and follow them at all times.
  • Align actions with the corporate vision, mission and values.
  • Assist the Managing Director in coordinating IT matters with team members.
  • Plan and set targets for IT procedures.
  • Establish clear IT procedures for each user group.
  • Coordinate technical guidance to users.
  • Assist in the development of IT modifications and updates, including implementation.
  • Identify areas of improvement in the existing system with new adjusted software and hardware.
  • Work with lead users to regularly evaluate business systems.
  • Ensure consistent documentation of all software development and technical projects.
  • Prepare and/or help prepare user operational manuals including checklists and procedures.
  • Control, review, and continuously evaluate the existing configuration.
  • Monitor and control the relationship between the property and computer companies regarding maintenance contracts and purchase of supplies.
  • Attend courses to constantly update his know‑how for the systems in use at the property.
  • Review requests for new applications.
  • Coordinate installation of new hardware, peripherals, and software.
  • Keep his work environment clean and proper at all times.
  • Carry out duties that may from time to time be assigned by the group Director of IT and the Managing Director of the hotel.
  • Always be on call and reachable for any requirement of the department.
