Role Description:

The company is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Fleet Public Health Officer to join our onboard team. The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising onboard Public Health Officers to ensure the effective implementation of public health protocols across the fleet, maintaining compliance with international standards and maritime health regulations related to hygiene, food safety, and disease prevention.

Main Responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure compliance with public health requirements (CDC, WHO, EU SHIPSAN, etc.) across all vessels in the fleet.
• Conduct periodic inspections in the areas of food safety, potable water, recreational water facilities, food preparation and storage areas, public spaces, and cabins.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ship management teams in implementing response plans for health emergencies (e.g., outbreaks, infectious disease cases).
• Provide ongoing training to crew members on hygiene, sanitation, and public health safety protocols.
• Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to maintain public health standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Hygiene, Public Health, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role (preferably in maritime, cruise, or healthcare settings).
• Seagoing experience, ideally on cruise ships.
• In-depth knowledge of international maritime public health regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• English language proficiency at B2 level; additional languages are an advantage.
• Availability to travel and work onboard for extended periods.

We Offer:

• Maritime contract of 6 months +/- 1, including frequent transfers (approximately once per month).
• Gross monthly salary of € 7,180 for each month onboard.
