Job Overview

Global Services Finance is the Johnson & Johnson finance center located in many regions of the world. This position is located in Prague, Czechia or in Milan/Rome, Italy. The main goal of this position as part of Legal Entity Accounting Team is to deliver compliant local financial services to J&J affiliates. The LE Accounting Manager is responsible for local statutory accounts and statements for specific companies under their responsibility.

Core Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for the local statutory reporting requirements of companies in-scope.
  • Oversee the preparation by a third-party provider of the local statutory financial statements.
  • Coordinate and execute (when applicable) corrective action plans related to the statutory financial statements process.
  • Monitor, analyze, and review department work and processes to develop more efficient procedures while maintaining high accuracy.
  • Apply a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • Key point of contact for all technical statutory accounting queries; establish and maintain relationships with external service providers, J&J corporate tax teams, external audit teams (PwC), and local management teams.
  • Ensure all statutory closing requirements are completed.
  • Support J&J corporate tax centers by delivering necessary data for corporate tax matters.
  • Ensure standardized processes with local audit (PWC) and third-party providers; liaise with Auditors, Local Management teams, and other stakeholders such as Tax Advisors.
  • Provide detailed guidance on complex business and financial system issues to maintain overall control.
  • Close interaction with A2R Group and other Global Services Groups (specific statutory requirements).
  • Support projects (provide insights into statutory and tax requirements or related processes).
  • Interact with other Global teams to benchmark process and address action plans.

Languages

  • Fluent English.
  • Fluent Italian.

Experience Required

  • Previous job experience in one of the Big 4 companies or other audit firm preferred.
  • Experience in Italian statutory accounting and tax.
  • Experience with GAAP conversions and related agenda.
