Roles for this posting cover teams across Amazon Stores in the United States and Canada, with available positions including, but not limited to:

• Consumer Technology: Build new generation features and products for amazon.com, improving the Customer and Seller experience globally. This includes site-wide features such as reviews and recommendations, category-specific software for Pharmacy, Electronics, Digital Software and Video Games, or seller infrastructure, using a range of technologies to design technical solutions.
• Operations Technology: Shape the future of transportation planning and execution globally, supporting thousands of operators and millions of customers with reliable, fast, and cost-effective transportation software.
• Financial Technology: Create distributed, scalable financial systems to support Amazon’s business needs, using big data technologies to design and develop services for global transactions worth billions annually. You may lead architecture, design, implementation and deployment of large-scale financial apps, owning end-to-end solutions.
• Human Resources Technology: Enable seamless experiences for Amazonians and candidates, delivering robust features and intuitive interfaces for onboarding, time and attendance, compensation, ama-zon.jobs, recruiting, and related processes.

Depending on your experience, interests, and business needs, you will own the front-end, back-end, or full-stack design and development of product features, building scale and differentiated customer experiences. We seek software engineers who are passionate about end-to-end software solutions, have strong development experience delivering at scale, and possess systems design skills. You should have a demonstrated ability to work in a DevOps delivery model—from scoping requirements, design, development, testing, CI/CD, security, and operational excellence—with cross-functional collaboration with Product Managers, business stakeholders and other tech teams through the actual project launch. You should also have experience communicating with users and other technical teams to collect requirements, describe software features, and technical designs.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, scalability)
• Experience programming with at least one programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
