Software Test Engineer (m/f/d)

Overview

Software Development : Software Test Engineer (m/f/d). The position is in Rome. We are looking for a Test Engineer to develop and execute manual and automated tests in order to ensure the quality of our products. The Test Engineer will estimate, plan, and coordinate the testing activities and ensure that quality issues and defects are identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in our defect tracking system.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents together with Product Managers and Developers to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured technical guidelines
• Execute test procedures and analyze results
• Detect, document and track software and/or hardware issues
• Verify bug fixes
• Plan and perform drive tests

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related subject
• Technical background and general understanding of the telecom industry
• Basic knowledge of mobile network technologies (GSM, WCDMA, CDMA, LTE, NR)
• Basic knowledge of computer network technologies (TCP/IP, NDIS, Routing)
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Android operating systems
• Basic knowledge of automation frameworks and programming languages (C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python or similar)
• Basic knowledge of SQL Server and SQL Management Studio is highly appreciated
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; German is an advantage
• Precise and attentive to details; Flexible, independent and self-motivated
• Able to work in a collaborative, global environment
• ISTQB certifications are highly appreciated
• Driving license
