Responsibilities
- Designing data architectures for analytics and data science, focusing on forecasting, feature engineering, customer behavior, and integrating new data sources.
- Leading data transformation efforts by establishing best practices in data modeling, performance optimization, and data governance to ensure data consistency, availability, and reliability.
- Building reusable technology for data ingestion, storage, transformation, and serving.
- Collaborating with data scientists and machine learning engineers to refine data requirements and improve infrastructure.
- Engaging in continuous learning by exploring emerging technologies and participating in community activities.
Requirements
- Expertise in batch and real-time data processing using tools like Kafka, Flink, Spark; experience with Databricks is a plus.
- Experience with Data Lake and Big Data platforms on cloud solutions, preferably AWS.
- Proficiency in Python and software engineering best practices.
- Knowledge of RDBMS, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling with SQL (Redshift, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Nice to Have
- Experience in Data Quality and Data Governance.
- Knowledge of MLOps and feature engineering.
- Familiarity with ML tools like scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, XGBoost, LightGBM.
- Experience with Apache Oozie, Apache Airflow.
