Overview

Emilia Romagna Certification Lead Auditor - Aerospace Scheme role at RINA, located in Bologna, Italy, within the Mediterranean & Africa Certification Division. The role focuses on planning, execution, and management of audits within the certification business, leading large and complex client engagements, ensuring effective audit processes, compliance with standards, and fostering strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct third-party audits in accordance with the aerospace scheme and EN9100:2018 standards.
  • Manage and oversee a three-year programme of Client Organizations certified under the EN9100 framework, ensuring adherence to guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to review and enhance audit processes, leveraging best practices to improve efficiencies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Prepare detailed post-audit reports, outlining findings and areas for improvement, and present these to clients and internal teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and advances in audit processes to keep the organisation at the forefront of aerospace certification.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications

  • Diploma or University Degree preferably in the aerospace, mechanical, or electronic field
  • IAQG-sanctioned 9100:2016 Aerospace Auditor Transition Training course recognized by Personnel CB
  • 4 years of full-time aerospace industry experience in engineering, design, manufacturing, or quality control for aerospace components, suppliers, or recognized bodies (NAA, space agencies, Ministry of Defence)
  • Professional Certification/Registration in Aerospace Registers (OASIS): EN9100:2018, EN9110:2018, EN9120:2018 is advantageous
  • Knowledge of applicable mandatory regulations (EASA Part 145, EASA Part 21) is advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Italian
