Overview

We are looking for Outside Sales to add to our Genoa Sales Team.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the sales process for assigned customers (especially the needs analysis, solution design and negotiation) by visiting customers.
  • Sell products/services to assigned accounts.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell to these accounts.
  • Work alongside the Head of Sales, other Outside Sales and Inside Sales throughout the sales process.
  • Focus on maximizing short and long term results.
  • Act as the primary face of ZIM in the marketplace.
  • Maintain direct contact (face-to-face) with the customers on an ongoing basis according to visit plan.
  • Foster relationship with the assigned set of customers.
  • Manage and grow accounts.
  • Identify and qualify customers’ sales potential, troubleshoot customer problems in important cases, identify and develop leads and new customers.
  • Work to achieve (or pass) the targets set.
  • Comply with tracking requirements, and take required actions for facilitating comprehensive tracking of accounts' financial performance and client satisfaction.
  • Advise the Head of Sales in the preparation of a detailed account plan for each of the accounts. The account plan will include: the account's ZIM spend forecast, key insights from the client's solution review, assessment of the account's needs, and proposed steps for growing account spend.
  • Undergo the required training according to the training program.
  • Comply with the tracking and reporting requirements to enable simple and insightful performance tracking.

Qualifications

  • Completed apprenticeship in shipping or forwarding.
  • Outgoing personality.
  • Geographical knowledge.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to work in an open-plan office.
  • Languages: English (Scale 1 – 7) 5.
  • MS Office: Word, Excel (Scale 1 – 7) 4.
