The Documentation Department plays a central role in ensuring that our advanced technical solutions are clearly understood by both internal and external stakeholders. As our new Technical Writer, you will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and product managers to transform complex technical concepts into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, handling procedures, and functional specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical knowledge and ensure content reflects the latest product updates.
• Edit, proofread, and review content for clarity, accuracy, style, and consistency, ensuring technical information is accessible to different audiences.
• Continuously improve documentation processes, templates, and standards for greater efficiency and quality.
• Gather and integrate user and customer feedback into documentation updates.
• Manage version control, ensuring all revisions are properly tracked and accessible.
• Organize and structure documentation within the company's document management system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Strong technical background and ability to quickly grasp complex systems.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Technical Writer with a portfolio of technical product documentation.
• Proficiency with SharePoint or similar document management tools.
• Experience with 3D design tools such as AutoCAD Inventor will be an asset

Skills and Competencies

• Perfect command of English (written and spoken).
• Communicative Italian is an asset.
• Excellent ability to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly language.
• Strong attention to detail, with consistency in style, structure, and accuracy.
• Analytical thinker able to structure information logically.
• Proactive problem-solver, addressing documentation gaps with solutions.
• Adaptable and quick to learn new technologies and industries.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Effective time management to handle multiple projects independently.

We are part of the Marine and Construction business segment and our Pipe and Cable Lay Team consists of approximately 50 employees in Rivoli (ITALY) and Stonehouse (UK) with specialist areas within sales, engineering, project implementation, fabrication, testing and aftermarket services. We develop technology in a demanding environment at sea and deliver to global projects in oil and gas and renewables energies.
