Amazon Sidewalk is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect who will help shape the future of IoT connectivity. You will work directly with customers, providing architectural guidance and ensuring successful implementation of Sidewalk technology in their products.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical interface between Sidewalk and our customers/developers.
• Provide architectural guidance and best practices for implementing Sidewalk technology.
• Review customer designs and provide recommendations for optimal system implementation.
• Translate customer feedback into requirements for our engineering teams.
• Create technical content, documentation, and reference architectures.
• Contribute to product strategy based on customer engagement and market insights.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.

A Day in the Life

This role combines deep technical expertise with customer engagement. You’ll spend time reviewing customer architectures, providing technical guidance, and collaborating with internal teams to evolve our platform based on customer needs.

About the Team

Amazon Sidewalk is a new long‑term effort to greatly extend the working range of low‑bandwidth, low‑power smart devices that customers install at the edge of their home network. With Sidewalk, customers can place smart devices anywhere on their property and know they will work—even in dead spots where Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth do not reach.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a technical specialist in customer‑facing roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with embedded systems.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience working with stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps.
• 8+ years of experience in embedded systems development or IoT solutions.
• Strong understanding of wireless protocols and IoT architectures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with AWS or cloud technologies.
• Experience writing and publishing technical documents.
• Experience in roles such as technical account manager, consultant, solutions architect, platform engineer, systems engineer, or cloud architect.
• Experience with low‑power wireless protocols (LoRa, BLE, etc.).
• Strong understanding of security principles in IoT systems.

Our compensation reflects market rates: base pay ranges from $138,200 to $239,000 per year depending on location. Equity, signing bonuses, and other benefits may also be included.
